MMOexp Borderlands 4: Repairing the First Monitor Device
MMOexp Borderlands 4: Repairing the First Monitor Device
Beth instructs you to reboot her system using two switches. They're both encased in bio-armor, so grab canisters from the nearby dispenser to clear them. For the switch mounted higher at the back of the lab, toss the canister through the wall's opening rather than climbing up—otherwise the gas dissipates before you arrive. With both switches flipped, Beth notices one of her monitors is malfunctioning and sends you out to investigate.
Repairing the First Monitor Device
Head west from the lab until you spot a toppled antenna monitoring device marked on your HUD. Inspect it to learn it's been vandalized, with a critical part missing.
Beth quickly pings the part's location to the northwest, leading you to a Ripper camp. Among the enemies here is the thief responsible: THE SCRAPVENGER. Defeat him to recover the missing piece.
Return to the damaged monitor and slot the part back into place as soon as the system powers on, a wave of threshers bursts out of the ground. Defend the monitor and clear the enemies to complete the repair.
Repairing the Second Monitor Device
Beth now directs you to fetch a spare component for another device, but this time things aren't so simple. The part is stuck high up on a crane platform.
Make your way to the tower attached to the crane and climb upward. Once at the proper height, leap across to the hanging platform and open the container holding the part. With it in hand, travel to the second monitoring device west of your location.
When you arrive, a group of Creeps will swarm the area. Eliminate them, then toss a grenade to clear away the overgrowth wrapped around the machine. Place the spare part into the device, which triggers its reboot—except this time, something far nastier than ordinary Creeps responds.
Defeating the Omega Thresher
Beth warns you that the reboot has disturbed a notorious local beast: the Omega Thresher. She transmits coordinates to an arena-like area north of your location. Grapple into the enclosure and prepare for a boss fight.
The Omega Thresher isn't colossal, but its bio-armor makes it tricky. Luckily, you've already mastered the locust gas strategy. In the arena's back corner sits a gas dispenser. Grab canisters and lob them at the Thresher to strip away its armor, leaving it vulnerable to gunfire. Repeat the process while dodging its heavy attacks until it finally goes down.
After the fight, your Vault Hunter notices a vomit pile nearby. Shoot it, and out crawls none other than Colonel Oatmeal, Beth's long-lost pet Creep. It's a slimy but heartwarming reunion.
Returning to Beth
With the Omega Thresher defeated and her beloved companion recovered, head back to Beth at Lakeside Properties. She thanks you for your efforts and formally completes the mission.
